Andrew Clarke, Solicitor, Leith, in memory of his great-grand-parents Arthur Clarke of Drumshavera, Surgeon, died 1st March 1774 aged 50. Famed for his skill in curing dropsy. Mary Murphy, his wife, niece of the Rev. James Murphy and sister of the Rt. Rev. James Murphy, R. C. Bishop of Clogher. She was born 1730, predeceased by her husband and daughter Catherine. RIP.


This stone was erected by Patrick Clarke of Derryniece. Pray for his soul and the soul of his great grandson Patrick Clarke of Derryniece d. September 17, 1850 and of his wife Judy d. December 24, 1877.

This Monument was erected as a tribute to the memory of PATRICK SMITH, Nullabrady, JOHN CONNOLLY, P?otiach and BRIAN Mc MAHON, Knocknacross, whose remains are interred in this graveyard your prayers are requested for these 3 United Irishmen hanged in Enniskillen 12rh October 1797 on their souls sweet Jesus have mercy. They rose in dark and evil days to right their native land, and kindled here a living flame that notheing can withstand. 12th October 1945. This Monument was erected as a tribute to the memory of PATRICK SMITH, Nullabrady, JOHN CONNOLLY, P?otiach and BRIAN Mc MAHON, Knocknacross, whose remains are interred in this graveyard your prayers are requested for these 3 United Irishmen hanged in Enniskillen 12rh October 1797 on their souls sweet Jesus have mercy. They rose in dark and evil days to right their native land, and kindled here a living flame that nothing can withstand. 12th October 1945. (Michael Monday) This stone was erected by James Smith of Corragunt in memory of his son Thomas d. 8/3/1791 a. 29.

(In counties Monaghan and Fermanagh it is rare to find stonemasons’ sighnatures on eighteenth and nineteenth century headstones. Here Michael Monday’s signature is visible, in incised writing above the inscription, which is in a cursive style. Monday is a translation of McAloon.)


This stone was erected by Connor Smyth of Nart in memory of his daughter Mary Smyth who departed this life Sept. the 20th A.D. 1817 aged 30 yrs.
